On March 28,2008 Darien' Three Volunteer Fire Departments entered into a "Friendly Competition" to see which department could recruit the greatest number of supporters to volunteer to give blood. This highly successful blood drive brought in 119 pints of blood making it the largest drive and largest participation in many years. Thank you to all who participated.
